Clase de Power Yoga en @qpilatesstudio. La clase es multinivel porq lo que adaptamos la postura a la persona, en el caso de #gandabherudasana o parado de menton, hay varios de niveles antes de llegar a la postura de la foto (ayer justamente se hicieron todos).
En cuanto al asana es desafiante como toda inversion pero q tiene el plus de trabajar la extension de columna en sus variaciones.

You’ve got to be your own self-check!

I’m constantly keen on extending this really cool self-check tip that I learned from a beautiful yogi during my TT. 
I would say the trickiest thing about Trikonasana is to keep your chest open while your upper body gradually makes its way down to the ground.. and until your body comprehends that you need to guide it.

Use the outside/top hand to guide your ribs to open so you can come into the proper expression of this posture. You can use this in other poses too, like extended side angle.

How low you go doesn’t matter, what matters is how well you maintain proper form throughout.

Our egos will trick us into believing that the lower we reach, the better off we are.. but they’re misguided as usual.

Your range will increase with time, patience, and consistency.. but the only way for it to do so without compromising your body and the integrity of the posture is to take it slow and move mindfully.

Having someone to guide us and correct our alignment is a blessing, but we can also learn to do that for ourselves - to be our own self-check.

Everything you are seeking is already within you.

The breathing practice in this exercise helps to regulate the nervous and endocrine (glandular) systems, so it really has a speedy effect 💨 If you have to relax in a matter of seconds, this meditation never fails.
∆ POSTURE: Sit in Easy Pose (legs crossed) / or in a chair with the feet on the ground + palms few inches away from the chest, right hand over the left, thumbs pressing each other (look at the second picture).
∆ PRANAYAM: Inhale calmly and deeply through the nose —filling up the stomach— and hold the breath in for 15-20 seconds / Exhale calmly and deeply through the nose —emptying the stomach— and hold the breath out for 15-20 seconds.
∆ TIME: 3-5 minutes. ∆ EFFECTS: It makes you calm and sharp again. “It balances all the nervous energies and the glandular system to tune them to maximum efficiency”, (Yogi Bhajan, 1980).
∆ MUSIC: Anything that works with you breath rhythm. (Or none).
∆ FINAL NOTE:
At the beginning of any Kundalini Yoga meditation, remember to tune in by chanting three times the mantra “Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo”, and to tune out by chanting three times the mantra “Sat Nam”.
⏳—For the brain to start retraining behavioral patterns it is recommended to practice most Kundalini yoga meditations for at least 40-90 days straight—.

I had the best time last night at my first @onepeloton showroom opening in Madison, Wisconsin!

Everyone was so warm and welcoming. I loved hearing stories about how much Peloton has changed their life.

I also loved hearing about how they  practice yoga anywhere even at work, or that their kids use our meditations, or how the pre/postnatal classes are so helpful.

Hanging with the amazing @pelotonjenn was awesome. She paved the way as the very first instructor & filled me in on how incredible it is to see the company grow.

I am so honored to work for Peloton and to continue to share the gift of health, fitness, mindfulness, & community.

Yoga ist mehr als ein körperliches Workout. Wer es schon mal ausprobiert hat, weiß: Bei einer Yoga-Einheit kann man ganz schön ins Schwitzen kommen! Immerhin arbeitet eure gesamte Muskulatur, die sowohl durch die statischen als auch die fließenden Bewegungen trainiert wird. Für die meisten Yogis ist ein straffer Körper jedoch eher ein schöner Nebeneffekt. Denn das Ziel ist eigentlich ein anderes: Nur wer auf sich selbst konzentriert ist, schafft es in den Asanas stabil zu stehen. Dabei wird die Wahrnehmung und das Bewusstsein für den eigenen Körper gesteigert. So trainiert ihr mit jeder Yoga-Einheit auch eure mentale Stärke. ⁠
