As you experience the 5 stages of grief during different chapters of your life, you process the grief differently - for me anyways. 🦄
I was 17 when we suddenly lost my stepmom, 32 when we suddenly lost my mom and now 41 losing my 2nd stepmom. Each time the process has and will be different.

At 17 I was finishing high school, and being younger things were just different. I didn’t know how to really talk to my dad about what he was going through and how he was grieving losing his wife. 🦄
At 32, we had a young toddler and I worked FT. I think I was somewhat present for my stepdad and brother but my mom was my best friend and losing her has been very hard for me. I say we ran away to CA for 4yrs as I don’t think I would have ever done it if my mom was still alive. 🦄
At 41, I’m back in Texas and being present for my dad as he does this again is very important for me.

Finding a healthy outlet for channeling my grief and overall everyday stresses has been a lifesaver.  It’s not about just being “physically strong and fit”. It is mental therapy! 
Today’s workout was one of the toughest mentally but incredible, physically!! I cried as I was punching my imaginary targets.  My form sucked but it felt good!

I hadn’t mentioned to many about my stepmoms passing but when I did it was to my amazing, supportive community of women I speak to everyday.  Who wouldn’t want that? Who wouldn’t want a community of peers to uplift you and support you. We all accept one another. We love one another. We give each other hope and you can voice your insecurities with no shame. Pure, genuine support. 👯‍♂️👯‍♂️
So whatever you choose as your go-to for release, I hope you have a support group or friend to vent to and if you don’t - I’ll be your wing man.

🏋️‍♂️Workout session a few days ago. Still very weak but I'm progressing.

Aiming to build myself up a bit before I start pushing more. It's going to be really interesting to see how long it takes to get back the strength. After that I'm aiming to after that push for more strength PRs.

Then we will see what focus I will apply. I also did 5 I run a few days abo and time for a new run. Mainly to gain cardiovascular endurance for the lifting and burning some calories.

Tomorrow it's pull day again. Slowly increasing the volume in the training sessions aswell. What is the goal with your training?
