Sorry again that we haven't been active lately but we have good and bad news. - Jaqueline
Yeah like what?? - Marcus
First the bad news... Our caretaker Mags had surgery. A Pancreatectomy with Autonomous Islet Transplantation, a 12 hour long surgery where they remove the pancreas, the spleen, part of the duodenum and jejunum (the first 2 parts of your small intestines) then auto transplant the islet cells (the cells that make your insulin) to the liver. It's a pretty big surgery and she had a bit of complications along the way so it was 14 hours in total, she was draining a lot of blood after she was brought in the room but it's okay now! Mags' tummy is still asleep and draining a lot of stomach juice but it's normal. She ended up diabetic and we honestly thought that it was going to be harder to manage but that's why we went to school for, right?
The good news is that Mags had her surgery done after about 2 years of talking about it! We are right at the finish line and we are willing to put our all! She'll finally be able to go to school, she'll finally be able to eat, live a normal pain free life! Well not really a painfree life because of her arthritis but painfree in the sense of pancreatitis and her digestive system. Something is something - Jaqueline
Wow that's a lot to take in... - Tezeract

Thank you to whoever gave me this pancreas stuffie, it's very thoughtful. And a pre-painted-in canvas too with color pencils and water paints. Thank you to everyone who has been there for me even if we don't know each other irl ❤ - Mags/@VitMaster
