How you address this situation throughout the holidays (and the year) will SIGNIFICANLTY IMPACT YOUR PROGRESS.
It’s very safe to say that I’ll be enjoying candy, cookies, and pie throughout the holiday season and chances are you’ll be faced with these goodies as well – in the office, at home, at different holiday events/parties.
Indulging or “over-indulging” is not the unhealthy part. It’s letting the time that you did indulge cause you to give up on all efforts for the day, week, month, and even the year.
It’s letting that one time lead to many more times where you’re consistently over-eating because you decided there was no point to keep trying since “the damage had already been done.” THAT MINDSET WILL NEVER SERVE YOU and will 100% keep you from achieving your weight/health goals.
You will continue to go through the cycle that you, yourself are sick of.
The one that prevents you from feeling confident & comfortable during special times like the holiday season and sharing in the joy and happiness that you want so bad to experience with your family & friends.
One of the most important tips I can provide you with and what I work on with my nutrition coaching clients is how to handle “set-backs” or times that did not go well so that you can make progress and make the most out of your time which is so precious.
Instead of viewing these times as “final” or “failure” know that they are opportunities for you to learn, grow, and improve. With any journey there will be bumps in the road or challenges along the way. Learning how to cope & react in a way that will benefit you is how to make progress this holiday season and throughout the rest of your life.
I challenge you today to think about what you can do when you have a time that does not go as well — how can you respond in a healthy way & move forward?? #theholidays #holidays2019 #healthyholidays #prioritizeyourself #selflove #selfcare #wellbeing #bekindtoyourself #patience #progress #progressnotperfection #healthylifestyle #sustainability #flexible #flexibleseating #foodfreedom #ditchthediets #weightlossjourney #weightloss #healthyeating #healthyeatingtips #nutritioncoach #accountability
