I didnt really understand how to do this myself.
Until I started taking care of myself
Key word "you"
Not me, Not your best friend, Not the popular girl, Not the successful person down the road, Not anyone else but YOU!
As imperfect humans we tend to compare ourselves to others.
I would find myself saying "why not me?" "If I would have stuck to working out years ago I would..." "what is wrong with me" and so on...
We need to get these thoughts out of our minds!
Because we are different, we have different circumstances, different ailments, different finances, we are all different in some way
I've learned not to compare but to focus on how to take better care of my physical and emotional health. Is this selfish!? Of course not! We need to be able to take care of ourselves before we can take care of and help others.
Take some time for yourself...
Quiet time even if it's 5 minutes believe me I'm a mom and understand 5 minutes is treasured.
Move your body! Even if it's just going for a walk it will boost your mood, confidence and sleep.
Food is mood! Try it eat more greens. I know when I eat junk I feel blah and weighted down and even depressed.
Find something that you love to do like painting, drawing, cooking, four wheeling, something that makes you smile.
And get outside for some fresh air!
