You’re doing it all wrong!

A far majority, heck practically everyone, that reaches out to work with me deals with some sort of hip/low back pain or tightness.
.
And as someone who has had issues with that in the past I can relate. But I can also show you exactly what to do to fix it! 😉
.
It starts with putting yourself in the right position. Take this hip flexor stretch for example (sound on for coaching cues). So many people attempt to stretch their hip and quads but do it wrong. They have this crazy anterior lean and create this huge arch and extension in the lower back. Don’t do this! ❌
.
Instead this is what you need to do:
.
*Posterior tilt of the pelvis
*Squeeze the glute of the down knee
*Depress rib cage to hollow out core
.
That’s it, that’s how you get the stretch you’re looking for. Comment below if you have tight hips or low back and need this stretch!

It’s been a treat to see these guys consistently track and complete the workouts, and hear the feedback about their improved strength, mobility, endurance, power, and even recovery!

Great work today @kyle_hughes4 💪! His first time using @superspeedgolf.  We got his initial club head speed numbers maxing out at 103mph.  After going through superspeed’s protocol 1 (about 15 mins), we got his speed up to 111mph.  This was followed up with a little strength work.

Slow Tempo Goblet Squat:
Are you on the road and at a gym with only light weights but still looking for a good #legworkout? Give this one a shot, it’s harder than it looks.

Move with intention, train with purpose.

Exercise Description:
Begin holding a dumbbell in front of you with your feet about shoulder width apart. Slowly squat down at a tempo of your choice. In this video I did a 5 second count, so by the time 5 seconds is up, I am at the bottom of my squat. Then return to the starting position in the same amount of time it took you to get to the bottom. Play around with the time to make it easier or harder.

Please consult with a physician prior to exercise performance to confirm that you are healthy enough to complete this exercise.
