I use to be so frustrated when I wanted to bulk up and put mass on all that ever happened was gaining a whole bunch of body fat and looking like a slob. Well, that changed when I learn about lean bulking and that’s what you see in the first picture. I learned to put on lean mass without getting too out of shape. This was also fun because I got to eat a lot of the foods that I really liked without looking like a slob. I learned a lot during that bulk so I’ll share just 3 of them.
1️⃣ I never stopped doing cardio during the bulk. It really helped me stay fairly lean. Most people stop doing cardio, I think that’s a no no. If you have a very fast metabolism then yes you can do way less cardio but you still need it.
2️⃣ food, foood, fooood!!! Before I started helping some of my clients they use to eat whatever they wanted because they were bulking and thought it was ok and I’ve 🙋🏾♂️done that. But in reality, All you’re doing is gaining a lot of body fat and you’re making it harder on yourself to cut down after your bulk. I always create a plan base on my client's current body stats and the physique they envisioned. You have to be realistic, there has to be a balance when it comes to eating and that’s how I help most of them find that right balance.
3️⃣ 🏋️♂️ you guessed it, training. I created a 3 phase training style that I’ve been using for many years and so have my clients. I also use it to get shredded too. If it’s a 3 month bulk or cut; every month I switched up the workout and that’s when they see that serious growth. I never allowed the body to adapt.

Reflections of a decade 🐉 Can you remember at least one thing about each year this decade?
Here’s my attempt:
2009 - left my hometown and moved to Portland
2010 - worked as a photographer
2011 - drove across the country and moved to Brooklyn
2012 - got involved with a diy yoga event space
2013 - co founded a women’s collective and went to Asia the first time
2014 - pursued marine conservation in Thailand and moved to AU.
2015 - founded a women’s collective in Melbourne.
2016 - lives in Barbados and Bahamas
2017 - worked at a nature doc studio in Malaysia. Took first surf lesson.
2018 - spent in Lombok, Melbourne and Bali.
2019 - grounded in Bali, invested in self & surfed nearly every day
