Yesterday I ran the Revel Big Cottonwood 1/2 Marathon and conquered my goal of battling the last 3.1 miles of this race. As a bonus, I set a personal record for myself. I decreased my run time by 21 minutes! What started as a way for me to keep focused and motivated on my weight loss goals turned into a visual realization that with consistency, putting one foot in front of another, and conquering battles and challenges (that everyday life throws), that goals can be reached and exceeded. Revel 2016, 2017, 2019, Revel Race Series Big Cottonwood Canyon, never disappoints! .

This podcast is where I learnt about listening to my body and intuitive eating. Even though it’s called the Keto diet podcast, its soo much more than that. It’s holistic, informative, dives into depression, eating disorders, fertility, hormones and more so much more.. I listen to the podcast on walks, in the car or when travelling. How do you achieve and then maintain a healthy lifestyle? As the holidays and new year draw closer, many of us will come up with resolutions such as: don’t over indulge in holiday treats, eat more veggies, stop drinking pop (yes, I’m from the PNW and we call it pop), or lose XX lbs and keep it off? These are all great as they represent positive intentions toward a healthy lifestyle, but how do you maintain it? •
Some would say motivation, but I disagree. Motivation is an emotion. It comes and goes. You won’t always be motivated to work out and eat healthy. But you have to get to a point of where you do it anyway, regardless of how you feel that day. This happens with dedication, preparation, and creating healthy habits. Yes, habits! Our habitual lifestyle, whether good or bad, will determine our health status and fitness status. •
Determining your “why” or what inspires you to be healthy and stay that way helps. Is it your children? Your overall health? Fitness competitions? Whatever your “why” is, remember it and make living healthy a habit. Your “why” and the habits you create will help maintain that healthy lifestyle! And as always, a little indulgence here and there is ok and emotionally needed sometimes! Just keep it as a rare treat and not a routine occurrence and you’ll be just fine 😊🙌

I'm not perfect. I have set backs as well. The last two weeks I have been a little bit all over the place with my exercise, sleep, mindset, nutrition, and routines. I haven't been myself and am looking to clean things up a bit.💪🏽

👉🏻Clean up your eating, it just hasn't happened long term.
👉🏻Get ya ass to the gym, sometimes you just can’t find the motivation.
