So, what do I do?
The overall goal of my work is to try and improve a person's quality of life by making their body move better. *Cliche incoming*

It's not just my job, it's my passion.
Being able to get someone to a point where they are able to do something in their life, however big or small, that they haven't been able to do because of pain or discomfort, is an awesome feeling, and what I do this for.
Whether it's simply being able to climb stairs without grimacing on ever step or completing a first triathlon, the reward is the same.
But, pain isn't always the reason for seeing someone like myself, sometimes it's the desire to remain healthy and reduce the risk of injury in the future, especially as we get older and our bodies start turning on us.
Keep your body happy and healthy, and it will return the favour.

| The key to shifting stubborn BODY FAT is regulating BLOOD SUGAR levels & balancing HORMONES |
.
.
Kellie Di Marie came to me because she was suffering from hormone issues & was struggling to shift body fat.
.
We ran a BLOOD CHEMISTRY Analysis which discovered her fasting BLOOD SUGAR levels were high. Within 3 months with the right nutrition we were able to get her blood sugar levels into the optimal range. (➡️swipe right for lab comparison) .
.
We also discovered she was suffering from extremely low PROGESTERONE levels (in Luteal phase), causing relative ESTROGEN DOMINANCE. This was causing her to suffer from fluid fluctuation, acne, anxiety & mood fluctuation. We supplemented her with herbs & vitamins which increase her progesterone levels, offset her Estrogen & induced her body to start ovulating again. (➡️swipe right for lab) .
.
As a bi-product of regulating her blood sugar levels & balancing her hormones she lost 7% BODY FAT👏
.
.
“I am blown away with my results. Michelle has helped me understand foods that suit my body as one standard meal plan is not suitable for every single person. I came with lots of hormone issues that were preventing me from shifting any weight and affecting my digestive system. With a little trial and error we were able to work out a meal plan and supplement program that would help balance my hormones. .
.
The thing I love is the focus on feeling good in the inside. As this was my focus (and not the fixation on physical changes) the results came with this. I have never felt better and have never been able to understand and read my body like I can now. Thank you Michelle for focusing on slow and steady changes over time, not a quick fix in 8 weeks. I have dropped about 7% body fat and my digestion has never felt better. Definitely a sustainable approach to weight loss!”

This episode is with our wonderful guest speaker Dr. Nicola Rinaldi, author of "No Period. Now What?" Dr. Rinaldi is a pioneer in the field of recovery from HA, an expert fertility consultant and such an amazing human being. She has set up multiple support groups for women trying to get pregnant, trying to get their period back and goes out of her way to spread information about HA so women can heal. You can reach out to Dr. Rinaldi through her website which is posted below, as well as request to join the facebook support group at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/436981166801162/ "In this condition, a component of the female athlete triad, signals that are supposed to be sent out by the brain’s hormonal control center, the hypothalamus, are shut off or turned way down such that no egg grows, no ovulation (egg release) occurs, and hence there is no need for a period. In our experience there are five factors in acquiring HA. Eating habits, exercise, weight/weight loss, stress, and genetics. The good news is that HA is reversible in most cases." (http://www.noperiodnowwhat.com/) I am very vocal about my own experience with Hypothalamic Amenhorrea and possibly Female Athlete Triad (now formally known as RED-S). As I continue to navigate my recovery from years with an eating disorder I have made it a priority to share my learning with others because of how much time I've spent researching to support my own healing. I want to make an impact and I'm so thankful that this podcast has come to life. In this podcast Dr. Rinaldi and I discuss what HA is, the causes, the overlap and differences between HA and PCOS, some myths surrounding HA (i.e. you need to be in a small body to lose your period due to energy deficit), long-term consequences of HA (bone-health, infertility, etc), body-image, "going all in" + recovery, and more. Stay tuned for more guest speakers discussing functional healing & wellness topics + many related to eating disorder recovery! Thank you all & sending so much love. 💫💕💫

While she may be growing, I’m finally feeling like the issues of the last 4 months are shedding!⠀
⠀
With just 3 weeks between the two pics of her and I, it’s only been one week since my thyroid healing education from the @medicalmedium and morning habit of celery juice had begun. ⠀
⠀
The girl on the left was EXHAUSTED, still. Even with being on a half dosage of Tapazol for 2 months, the TSH number was still dropping. Muscles aches and shook like a tight rubber band about to snap every morning. I would constantly see dark circles and rough skin under my light makeup. Weight was still low and the brain fog was causing frustration and further anxiety in my day. ⠀
⠀
On the right, feeling the light at the end of this tunnel! I’ve been full of natural energy (FINALLY!) and just left with tiredness if awoken by early morning cries from her or my toddler. 🙄 I’ve been able to think more clear (buh-bye brain fog 👋🏻 ) and apply great enthusiasm to my business again! Muscle aches have disappeared and I just feel like I did prior to having Maren!⠀
⠀
I could go on, but stay tuned tomorrow to IG TV as I share my next installment of “Functional Fact Friday” in why women are typically the target to thyroid issues and why doctors may not be doing enough... therefore, WE NEED to be our biggest advocates to healing with food!⠀
⠀
ANY new habit takes time to adapt, and celery juice may make you gag the first time... not gonna lie 🙈. But I was willing to change more than stay the same. If we don’t change, nothing changes.⠀
⠀
What symptoms have you been experiencing lately that just make you fell “off”?⠀

Throw back to this Fall when the sunshine was high and the leaves were yellow gold and looking amazing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I feel like I love all the seasons, because they each have something special to offer, but Fall is definitely one of my faves... all 12 days of it haha (if you're in the north you know what I'm saying) 🤪
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What season is your fave?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love taking my 'big dog' (I call him that to pump his tires and inflate his ego) for walks in the bush where we can see all the fall colours and get splattered with flying leaves blowing off the trees. Garv loves it to because the grouse are out and about and he is a bird dog and his brain kind of explodes when he sees BURDS..🐦
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyway, Fall is gone and winter is here. We're nearing the shortest and darkest day of the year PRONTO. With that often comes the winter blues, feeling a bit more tired, hibernation(ish) and so forth.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm going to be talking about the winter blues coming up soon - let me know.. is there anything you'd like help with in the winter blues department? Any questions or topics?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌙Comment below! I will be talking about them soon and sharing a valuable freebie with you 🌙
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cheers to thriving this winter ❄️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🛑✅➡️*** NEW COACHING PROGRAM COMING SOON ***⁣⁣⬅️✅🛑⁣⁣
⁣⁣.⁣⁣
Meeting new clients and connecting with others who are motivated towards improving their physical health and changing how they view food is seriously an incredible experience for me. However, I’m continuously seeing a pattern that there is such a large gap between physical and mental health when it comes to food that needs more attention.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣.⁣⁣
For some people having a meal plan and some form of coaching or help to guide them along with their health-related goals sometimes isn’t enough for the long term. Some people have unfortunately developed poor eating habits over time such as emotional eating, binging, food addictions, and more! due to negative self-talk, limiting beliefs, self-sabotaging, past events, and trauma.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣.⁣⁣
With every client, my end-goal is always to get to the root cause of the issue and help guide them towards a happier and healthier version of themselves so they can truly love and be proud of who they are.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣.⁣⁣
This has inspired and motivated me into taking action to bridge this gap between physical and mental health! In which I’m excited to announce that early next year I’ll be offering a new range of services in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time-Line Therapy, where I have implemented them into a new 12-week program that will do exactly that!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣.⁣⁣
This is truly going to be a powerful, inspiring, and life changing coaching program for those wanting to make a positive change in their life and open doors to new limitless possibilities and achieve those long term goals that each and every person deserves!⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣.⁣⁣
This program is something that I’m extremely proud to be putting together and cannot wait to have the privilege of coaching these services to people wanting to make big changes in their life, stretch beyond their limits, and grow!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣
⁣⁣.⁣⁣
I will continue to keep you posted as it progresses ☺️ Any questions or enquiries don’t hesitate to ask, I’m always more than happy to provide more information!⁣

What I couldn’t do for myself I can do for others.
————
I’ve struggled with hormonal issues for as long as I can remember. Or at least I associated them with hormones. When I was a teenager I experienced painful, heavy periods, and it wasn’t uncommon for me to stay home from school because of the pain or to leak through my pants because of the heavy flow.
In university my periods were so painful, I would take a portable battery charge heater to tuck under my pants to calm the spasms. My cystic acne got worse and worse, so I tried all sorts of birth controls, pain killers and topical creams to hide the symptoms of my imbalance. because these symptoms are common for women, we mistake them to be normal. They are not normal!
In my head I always thought I’d have my health issues resolved before I became a mom. I would have good skin so I wouldn’t feel the need to wear makeup, id have less anxiety so I wouldn’t bite my nails- I just always imagined myself in a better place when I would become a mom. The irony is that I never got to the root of the imbalance, so all I was doing was masking the symptoms, tricking myself into thinking I was improving. ——————
Well let me tell you, here I am at 18 months postpartum, and I am just starting to find out what is going on with my body. In many ways my health journey can finally begin. Do I wish I knew everything I know now, before I got pregnant? Before I started university, when these symptoms arose as a teenager? Absolutely I do. I can’t go back in time, but what I can do is help women with their menstrual pain, prepare their body for pregnancy, and make adjustments for an enjoyable menopause. ————-

Did you know almost half the cases of infertility are due to problems with the male reproductive system? It’s not always the woman!
.
It takes about three months for men to make new sperm. So it’s really important to be as healthy as possible in the three months leading up to conception.
.
In these 3 months try and implement a few of the following things in this post! I don’t ask to do all 12 because that becomes overwhelming and stressful.
.
Pick a few that are achieveable and work on achoeveing them and making healthy choices. .
The quality and health of a man's sperm can be affected by:
* Age
* Diet
* Being overweight * Smoking & Drug use * Heat exposure to testes
* Sexually transmitted infections
* Injury
* Anabolic steroid use
.
Fatherhood begins before conception by making sacrifices for your future baby’s health and development!

In these 3 months try and implement a few of the following things in this post! I don’t ask to do all 12 because that becomes overwhelming and stressful.
.
Pick a few that are achieveable and work on achoeveing them and making healthy choices. .
The quality and health of a man's sperm can be affected by:
* Age
* Diet
* Being overweight * Smoking & Drug use * Heat exposure to testes
* Sexually transmitted infections
* Injury
* Anabolic steroid use
.
Fatherhood begins before conception by making sacrifices for your future baby’s health and development!
