Quite often when we have mold illness is lowers our system so much we can't fight off other critters.

Common symptoms of intestinal parasites are:

abdominal pain
diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting
gas/bloating
fatigue
unexplained weight loss
abdominal pain or tenderness

DNRS talk:
So as I’ve shared before, I was doing amazing until I had surgery in November 2019. Then I started having some issues come back, including new ones I hadn’t had before. I started back with DNRS because I knew how helpful it had been in 2018. I’ve been doing my rounds every day, but it’s also important to be able to catch your limbic system in the moment and redirect. So while sitting on the couch right now I figured out a fun distraction technique. And wanted to share!! 🥰🥳

Feeling the need for a little extra self care today and #legsupthewall is an amazing posture for stress relief! Just get on the floor (on a mat or blanket), scoot your bum all the way up against the wall (it helps to come at it seated and from the side), then swing your legs up into the air and relax. Variations: try with a chair and just rest your calves on the seat of the chair, or stay with the wall and allow your knees to bend and fall open, bringing palms of the feet together. Breathe........

Finally have energy for some updates. I’ve been extremely fatigued again. After having 2 periods again this month the energy I had from my iron infusion dissipated. My body’s been forcing me to sleep 16+ hours a day again and it’s ROUGH! I have so much I need to do; treatments, phone calls and doctor appointments, etc. and don’t even have energy to bathe so I need to get this anemia and adenomyosis under control. I’m working on getting in a lot of oral iron in addition to the iron/blood transfusions. Also working on getting my potassium level up. My hypokalemia has been bad despite taking potassium pills/getting postassium IV’s at the hospital. My team thinks my gut dysmotility was preventing my body from absorbing the potassium properly. I’ve been put on extended release potassium which should apparently be easier for my gut to absorb. My ADH is still low which is causing me to pee too much, therefore my body’s not holding onto the little nutrients it does absorb. This is probably why even though I get 2L of IV fluids everyday my vitals are still awful and unstable. I need to be on a hormone to raise it, but it (Desmopressin) is contraindicated for me because of my high risk/history with blood clots 😞 Another catch 22 that’s taking a potentially helpful treatment off the table. I’m now on Mobic for my arthritis, hoping that will start to work for my bone pain which can be brutal some days. Now on Pepcid for my reflux/gastritis. My Atarax was raised to 100mg, so hoping that along with the Cromolyn and a low-histamine diet will help my mast cell disease. I’m suppose to be going to aqua therapy 2-3 times a week, but just standing for a second causes my heart rate to skyrokect and my oxygen to plummet, and then I need my nebulizer treatments &/or oxygen. So aqua therapy is not a possibility yet. My bp has been swinging from severely low to really high so I’m off Midodrine and we’re monitoring closely. Just trying to focus on what I can control, and keeping my faith that things will start to look up one day 🙏🏼💕

I’ve started a new eating plan!
⠀
For some months now, I’ve been experiencing breathing issues that only seem to happen at night.
⠀
They’re pretty scary and highly uncomfortable.
⠀
When it first happened, I thought I was having an allergic reaction so I took my first ambulance ride to hospital.
⠀
It settled by the time I got there and they dismissed it as a once off.
⠀
When it happened a few more times, I went to the doctor and they were baffled. It was put down to anxiety, stress and panic attacks. Even though I’d never suffered these before.
⠀
I was starting to feel like my heart was slowing down when I was having these attacks where as normally, a heart would quicken during an attack. Not mine, it was dropping to about 40bpm.
⠀
This fear of having some sort of heart condition led to my second ambulance ride which after thorough testing proved that my heart was fine!!
⠀
So, it’s not an allergic reaction, it’s not my heart, it only occurs as I drift off to sleep and I’m not going through menopause. 🤔
⠀
To cut a long story short, after many many tests, we finally got an answer.
⠀
It seems I have something called CIRS. Chronic inflammatory response syndrome. Google it - I did! The cause - mould!! Yep, that’s right, mould. Have no idea where I picked up that biotoxin or how long I’ve had it but it’s causing havoc in my system which has resulted in these POTS like attacks every night.

So, that brings me to my new eating plan. To assist with the recovery process of CIRS, it’s been highly recommended I go on an Autoimmune Paleo diet. AIPS for short, to reduce the current inflammation in my system.

In a nutshell, it’s no gluten, no dairy, no sugar including fruit, no grains but a whole lot of coloured veges (minimal starchy veg) and a bit of protein.

This is not a forever diet for me, but one that I can slowly reintroduce the things I love once my inflammation is resolved.

I’m pretty upset with mould though at the moment!!! How dare you and what the... 😳

I’m just super glad I have a recovery plan now. It’s quite strange that my system has found ways to cope with all this inflammation and I attribute that to positive mindset, exercise and yoga.

Gut binders help pull toxins from circulation and move them out for excretion. They work primarily in the gut by binding whatever is excreted via the bile and making sure it does not get recirculated.
🌑
Often times toxins that are excreted in the bile by the liver, make it to the GI tract only to be reabsorbed back into circulation at the end of digestion. This is often the case with mold toxins called Mycotoxins and other biotoxins. An appropriate gut binder can help bind these toxins and move them out into the stool and out of the body.
🌑
⚠️A word of caution with binders-they cannot discriminate between friend and foe and will pull nutrients from foods or bind medications in the same way they bind toxins. It's important to always take a binder away from food and medications (at least 1-2 hours).
⚠️
🌑
✳️Activated charcoal-broad spectrum binder will bind most endogenous and exogenous toxins and some heavy metals.
✳️Bentonite clay-broad spectrum but more selective for mold and other biotoxins.
✳️Chitosan-derived from crustacean shells binds mold and other biotoxins.
✳️Silica-has affinity for metals particularly aluminum
✳️Chlorella-affinity for heavy metals, volatile organic compound and biotoxins. Does not bind nutrients from food or other medications so safe to use longer term.
✳️Modified Citrus Pectin-affinity for mold and other biotoxins. Also used in cancer to help stop metastatic spread of cancer cells.
✳️Zeolite-binds heavy metals.
✳️Cholestyramine-pharmaceutical with affinity for mold and other biotoxins.
✳️Welchol-pharmaceutical with affinity for mold and other biotoxins.

Knowing what your unsupplemented vitamin D levels are prior to going into the winter is essential both for knowing how much of the sunlight you have actually assimilated, but to also know what your likelihood is of having winter colds, flus or depression. There are a lot of actions you will need to take during the winter to offset a low Vitamin D level, but none of them are as good as getting enough sun during the summer months.⠀
☀️⠀
BTW, if you live in a city near a lot of people, this means that you are getting a high exposure to EMFs, which block your body's ability to assimilate the UV and to make the Vitamin D. So, if you are getting a lot of midday sun without sunscreen or with minimal clothes and your vitamin D level is still low, this is most likely the reason.⠀

Although few doctors know how to successfully manage autoimmune disease — a condition in which the immune system attacks the body — researchers say it has become a modern epidemic affecting more people than heart disease and cancer combined. Conventional medicine also argues autoimmune disease has mysterious origins and is primarily genetic, but again research paints a different picture — autoimmune disease has largely been traced to the tens of thousands of toxic chemicals in our environment. While there are other contributing factors including other environmental triggers and emotional trauma, there is a growing body of evidence that points to autoimmunity having roots in toxin exposure.
.
Friends, since most of you are ladies, it is important to know that research points to the fact that 80% of autoimmune disease sufferers are women! I believe there are many of us walking around with autoimmunity without even knowing it. Unfortunately, it is so common!
.
Some common causes include:
.
*Environmental toxin exposure including pesticides, heavy metals, mold
.
*Eating a poor diet high in processed foods and sugars
.
*Gut dysbiosis and infections
.
*L vitamin D levels
.
*Emotional trauma
.
*A high stress lifestyle

Good read for those that suffer from mould! Sweat out the nasties with a sauna!

Posted @withregram • @dr.jess.md This is a combined post between @corylrodriguez & myself
.
Mold exposure is more common than you think. 50% of houses in the USA have current water damage. You may think it’s just the black mold you can see on the wall, but it’s much more stealthy than that!
.
We estimate that 20-25% of the population has a genetic 🧬predisposition that won’t let them eliminate mold spores well. This can lead to chronic inflammatory response syndrome .
.
Most home renovation companies don’t know how to test🧪 or remediate mold properly nor do they understand the extent of how mold can make some people sick.
.
✅MOLD IN THE BODY: symptoms of mold toxicity include brain 🧠 fog, joint pains, elevated heart rate & lightheadedness (POTS), shortness of breath, static shocks on the skin, difficulty holding your urine, rashes, vertigo, eye floaters, bloating. This is a biotoxin illness that affects multiple organ systems in susceptible people.
.
✅BEST TEST FOR MOLD IN THE BODY? Urine screen for mycotoxins, visual contrast test at survivingmold.com, or serum bloodwork for MSH, VIP, TGF, C4a, IgA, VEGF, MMP9. Always correlate with symptoms.
.
✅HOW CAN YOU FIND OUT IF YOUR HOUSE 🏡 IS WATER DAMAGED? Mold is usually hidden & not in plain sight. Moisture readers like you see in the picture, musty smells, bubbled floorboards or walls, feeling worse while at home, ERMI test or EMMA test for proper detection (EPA approved test).
.
✅HOW DO YOU HEAL FROM CIRS/MOLD? First you must get away from the mold exposure. Then try @dr.jess.md’s kill, bind, sweat 💦 procedure using antimicrobials, a toxin binder like clays/charcoal/silica/apple pectin, & then sweating it all out afterwards in an infrared sauna. You can try synthetic binders like Cholestyramine, correcting any other infections in the body, supporting the liver & immune system with glutathione or enemas & a healthy, gluten-free organic diet. #drjess #mold #CIRS #killbindsweat #mycotoxins #organic #health #beyourownbestdoctor
Good read for those that suffer from mould! Sweat out the nasties with a sauna!

In college, I got strong and muscular. I was a wisp of a girl when I joined my college track team as a freshman, but within a few months, I was squatting 275 pounds. ⁣
⁣
A fact of the universe: When you are just a girl, new to Olympic lifting, you cannot squat that much weight unless you put on weight. Good, strong muscle weight. ⁣
⁣
At my heaviest, I put on 12 pounds. ⁣
⁣
And for much of my track career, I felt 12 pounds too big. ⁣
⁣
Here in the West, we don’t like girls to take up space. We like small girls with quiet voices, small ambitions, and unobtrusive needs. ⁣
⁣
And so, it did not matter that I was strong and fast and ended my injury-riddled career a five-time-all American. ⁣
⁣
Every time I medaled and every time I helped my team win a National Championship, I stood on the podium and felt 12 pounds too big. ⁣
⁣
I felt too big in other places, too. I felt too big when I had strong opinions in seminary classes, when I was smarter than male classmates, when I had big feelings that made me burst into tears in the presence of someone else. ⁣
⁣
My journey of learning friendship with myself — of learning to take up space and celebrate the image of God in me — has been a long one. ⁣
⁣
And learning to practice self-compassion has been pivotal to my progress on this journey. ⁣
⁣
Because self-compassion requires that I let myself take up space. ⁣
⁣
If I am supposed to be small and quiet, then my needs should be small and quiet too. ⁣
⁣
But self-compassion requires acknowledging that my suffering is real, and my corresponding needs are valid and important. They ARE obtrusive, and that’s not a turn-off like the world would have me believe. ⁣
⁣
It’s human. ⁣
⁣
And I get to be human, too, just like everyone else. ⁣
⁣
I get to be vulnerable and precious and tender and needful and worthy of good things.
