This is a conversation I had with someone regarding with holding from eating cake.
I wanted to share it as it brings light to something most people think or feel.
Giving up a food you love to lose weight DOES NOT mean you will be doing it for life. So please stop thinking of it that way. Refraining from eating something as a choice to ensure you reach is a goal is all it is. You simply cannot maintain eating a strict low calorie diet and remain healthy. It doesn’t mean that once you reach your goal that you splurge and make up for lost time. This is where the learning healthy habits part of being coached comes in. You learn how to fit in the foods you love while still eating the foods you need.
So if your taking in a diet plan thinking you will never eat cake again, you’ve already failed. Why? Because we simply crave for things we can’t have.
