Today’s first session was completing 6 timed runs of a 40 gate corridor, with a rhythm change every 8 gates marked by a delay gate, aimed at giving the trainees the opportunity to move forwards, reset their central position and prepare for the next, different, rhythm.

The second on snow session was a combination of free-skiing and drills, aimed at both perfecting a stable central position and finding the new edge as early as possible at the top of the turn.

One more day left of slalom tomorrow before we take a break, and we’ll be moving into less predictable patterns of gates to challenge how the athletes can execute these movement patterns in a variable environment.
