So this is how I use to view my body (circa 2013); it honestly breaks my heart. I've struggled with body image ever since the 6th or 7th grade. During this time in my life I'm fairly sure I was dealing with depression, negative body image, bulimia/anorexia (slightly the latter), and anxiety. Most aspects of my life were good, but a negative mental health can cause some serious damage to your overall wellbeing. .

I'll keep this post kind of short, but if you are hating on your body, if you are dealing with an eating disorder, or anything similar please know that I think you are beautiful. I think you are radiant. I think you are the songs you love, the brilliant ideas you have, the people you inspire, all these little things. You are not just your body (which is beautiful). You are not just a number. You are not just a size. You are not anything that my poem mentions.

See, I still struggle with my looks, but I am working on it. I look myself in the mirror daily and say something along the lines of, "I love you. You're beautiful. We've got this." It felt silly talking to myself at first, but it has honestly helped. Use to, I always hated my body. Now I only hate on it maybe 1 or 2 days a week, but then I quickly try and fix my mindset. You can too ❤. It takes patience, practice, and all the self love you can muster, but it's possible and worth it. .
